Abstract
The aim of this symposium is to present recent results and methods in
identification of parameters of material or structural models. The emphasis
is laid on damage and defect identification with assessment of structure
response and reliability. Both experimental and numerical or analytical
approaches could be presented and different methods outlined, such as
modal analysis, wave propagation, thermal, electric or magnetic field
interaction with defects, etc. Novel tools used in identification should
be discussed, such as soft computing methods (neural networks, genetic
computing), extended Kalman filters, adjoint and direct sensitivity analysis,
reciprocity gap methods and response surface methods. Applications should
be addressed to both materials and structures. |
