Abstract
The purpose of the Mini-Symposium is to examine current knowledge and
recent advances in Electromagnetic Fracture Mechanics as applied to the
various fields of science and technology. The topics include Electro-magneto-mechanics,
Magnetoelasticity, Piezoelectric mechanics, and Smart sensors and actuators.
All aspects (theoretical, experimental, computational studies and/or industrial
applications) will be considered. One of the emphases of the mini-symposium
is the area of electromagnetic fracture and damage mesomechanics, with
applications to smart micro/nano devices.
