Abstract
This special symposium will broadly encompass micro- and macroscopically conceived phenomena and descriptions associated with fatigue and fracture in advanced polymers. We envision that topics will broadly encompass fracture and crack propagation in semicrystalline polymers, fatigue and fracture (impact strength, crazing, etc) of glassy polymers and their blends, toughening mechanisms, damage mechanisms, and modeling of such phenomena.
